RIP Michael Crichton
It's really too bad that he's gone. I urge everyone to read his last few books, especially "State of Fear". In that, he set out to prove that man is responsible for global warming, and instead proved that it's all about instilling fear and making money. "Next" was a warning about the dangers of genetic patenting and expirementation.
A good man gone too soon.
Story
A good man gone too soon.
Story
The sheep won
Soros, the MSM, and funding from overseas has bought the presidency. Just slightly over half of the voters have bought into the hype. That still means that just slightly under half are really pi$$ed off today.
There is a lot of blame to pass around. We have the worst primary system I can imagine. The fact that everyone on the stage was a better candidate for the republican nomination than McCain, that he can't hold his own in a debate, that he's not a true conservative, and that independents in early states got to throw their vote at whomever they wanted, led us to this.
The Obama lie that he would stick with public financing, but then turn around and take Soros's money, as well as the "anonymous" donations, so that he could outspend in an already outrageously high cost election at about 4 to 1; the scare tactics at the polls; ACORN and other groups...
America is about to go to hell in a handbasket. We are all going to be slammed by the liberals in power. Our supreme court is going to rewrite the constitution. We'll all be equal - equally poor.
We have to wait 4 more years to do something about the Obomination, but now is the time to start on recovering the country. We need to unseat the powers of socialism, starting with the far left wing in the house and congress. We have to find a way to unseat Pelosi in 2 years.
We also need to get people to understand that they have to stop thinking about the pork that they get in their own backyard, and realize that continuing to elect Murtha, Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy, etc, etc, is destroying the country. Why let them just feed off of us, and bleed us dry? They take all the tax breaks they don't need (including the tax free gas that they say isn't a high expense for us). They lie. They steal from us! Stop them!

A vote for..
I'm so tired of the "A vote for McCain is 4 more years of Bush".
What about "A vote for Obama is 4 more years of Carter?"
I mean really, with Dems controlling everything (a super majority even?), it could make the Carter years look prosperous.

The Cable Provider
Since it is my blog, I want to take a moment to complain about the absolute worst cable provider that I have ever had -- Comcast. The service is terrible for the price. If you have a problem, you wait 10 minutes for someone to come on the line, only to be told that YOU have to stay home and twiddle your thumbs waiting for someone to come out and check the line. They always try to say it's inside, when it never is.
100% of the time that there has been a problem with my service, whether it is the cable or the internet, it is outside the building. I would say that 90% of the time, it is a corroded splitter outside. I tell the customer service person this. I point out that it's physically impossible for me to be at home the whole week. That they need to send someone to check it, because they can check the history, and discover that it's always the same problem (bad equipment leading up to the building).
Got to love pixelization. It happened a week ago, and it is happening now. It happens with the box and without.
I would love to start a website, comcastsucks.com - but it's probably already taken.
//end rant

Spreading the Wealth
Hussein wants to redistribute the wealth globally, not just locally, given the amount he's promising the UN (just who we want to trust with our money! discussion
If he really wanted to spread the wealth, he would have given all but the first $250,000 of his income away. After all, that's the magic number (whether individual or business). And by the way, it doesn't count when the majority of your charitable donations go to Rev. Wright's church.
Meanwhile, George Hussein Onyango Obama lives in a shack on $12 per year. Shouldn't sharing the wealth begin at home?
Lead by example, B.O.!

Sarah Palin and TV Ratings
It must gall the Mainstream that Sarah Palin brings the highest ratings ever when she appears on key shows. I love that the highest SNL ratings in 14 years came when Sarah Palin appeared - that means that she beat out both Clintons!
The VP debate was more watched than any of the other debates, let alone any VP debate ever. And I assure you, it had nothing to do with Joe Biden.
And since BuzzDash likes to edit the heck out of polls, here is the one published on the site - it might be worded well, but it was about more than SNL:

Politics in the workplace
Where I work, if you discuss your political views, and you're not liberal, then you're ostracized. Pretty much, the only bumper stickers you'll see in the car (with very few exceptions) is for Obama.
I personally do not like bumper stickers, but I know that some people here are so against anything non-liberal, that they will actually attack you verbally for having a different view. I swear, the most intolerant people I've ever met call themselves liberal/progressive.
Once again, BuzzDash edited my poll to suit their purpose.. unfortunately. Below is the original.

B Hussein's health care plans
In watching B. Hussein's annoying ball of yarn commercial, something occurred to me that really amazes me. Has no one EVER thought about what would happen if we suddenly had a nationalized health care system like the "annointed one" (to borrow a Hannity phrase) wants to push on us?
As many have said, why in the *blank* would anyone trust the same people who continue to screw up Social Security with our health care? Health insurance is already a bit socialized, since in group insurance the premiums are the same for healthy people who rarely see the doctor, and people who have had major health problems, such as strokes and diabetes. I honestly think at this point, that it would be even worse of a system than what people are dealing with in other countries, where they die off before they finally get their doctor appointments. What good does it do when they say that it would force coverage of pre-existing conditions, when you won't even be able to get in to an appointment in a reasonable amount of time?
The point that really amazes me the most, though, is the same people who are screaming about a voilation of privacy when the Patriot Act allows listening in on phone conversations between US citizens and suspected overseas terrorists, have no problem with all of our health records being combined in one place, available to any government entity, and anyone who hacks into it.
The socialists want the government to take care of us, well guess what, they then have access to every single part of our lives.

I missed my Wednesday night shows for this?
McCain and Hussein debating each other is so bad, that I ended up flipping channels and watching 3 episodes of Tyler Perry's House of Payne instead. In 90 minutes, I knew more about the characters on a show that I've never seen before, than I would ever learn about BO and McCain in the same amount of time. Keep in mind, I did keep trying to sit through the debate by flipping back and forth.
You always hear about how great Obama is at speaking, but that is only when he's in front of a teleprompter. It makes me laugh to think of what a mess he'd have made of it if he were the one facing a badly functioning teleprompter like what Sarah Palin had. She pulled off her speech amazingly. He'd fall on his face.
I am so pissed off at having McCain as the Republic nominee. I blame the sorry primary system which basically has it all over in a few days. I blame McCain's lying ads the weekend before the Florida primary, and I blame Charlie Crist, who will never get my vote again - he's even more liberal than McCain.
McCain continued to spout the same refuted lies about Romney in the last Republican debate, and he did the same last night - he had millions of things he could say about BO and didn't, but instead chose little things that have already been disproved. I wanted to throw something at him, he made me so mad.
Watching Barry was amusing though. You always know when he is either lying or trying to come up with something that isn't a memorized talking point - he starts stammering and stuttering. At least McCain just starts going off on a tangent.
Neither choice is great, but with BO - you get his ties to an unrepentant terrorist, his underhanded housing deals, his representation of ACORN in the past, his absolute socialistic behavior and promises, and the list goes on.

The economy conspiracy
For some time now, I've suspected that Geoge Soros might have his hands in the recent economic meltdown. Not in the mortgage failures per se, that is a Democrat owned problem all the way - with Barney Frank as one of the top dogs causing that (him and his boyfriend who headed one of the FMs). No, I'm thinking more in the bank failures and stock market crashes.
While Wikipedia might not be the most reliable source around, look at this quote:
What's a hit in the stock market to him, if he can force the economy down, play kingmaker and get B. Hussein in office, and find a way to get us all on the Euro at the end? His moveon.org with its hands in the pie all the way.
He's only the 99th richest guy in the world, you'd think someone could find a way to stop him. I don't know how he managed to fail at buying Hillary's election (you really think that all those Chinese sweatshop workers came up with $10k on their own and decided on their own to give it to her?), but he's sure working on buying BO's.

Soros is famously known for "breaking the Bank of England" on Black Wednesday in 1992. With an estimated current net worth of around $9 billion, he is ranked by Forbes as the 99th-richest person in the world.[1]

Way to go McCain
Finally, I can actually pull the lever for McCain. To think that we'll have a vice president who has more experience running ANYTHING than all the president and vice president picks combined.
It's absolutely amazing that the so-called "feminists" are out there essentially saying that a woman can't have a job and raise children. That's what they're really saying when they try to put her down for running for VP when she has a Down's Syndrome child.
I watched with real amusement when the lefties were attacking her for claiming Trig as her own, saying that Bristol was the real mother. Now that they're proved wrong about that, they are attacking her for her daughter being pregnant (and do the math, it's physically impossible for her to be 5 months pregnant yet give birth 4 months ago, which is why that story quickly went away).
So far, what I have heard, has only made her more real. She is against abortion, and she backs it up with her actions. Her daughter gets pregnant - which by the way, happens to a lot of girls, whether their mothers are stay-at-home or not - and she doesn't try to preach about it, but say that while it's going to be tough, they're standing by her.
I have read some of the crazies's blogs. It's truly unbelievable, but something that I've seen over and over. The liberal "feminists" are only for "feminist" when it relates to them, not for others. They're the same ones who try to sabotage any other woman who is a potential "threat" (in other words, gets attention for their work) to them. Don't believe me? Try being a female in a technical environment and see what the loony "feminist" women do to you.

Pelosi the Horrible
Pelosi you ignorant **** (think SNL), you should be tried for treason. You are personally trying to destroy the country for your own agenda. You WANT the gas prices high, because your state gets a percentage of the price in taxes, not just a flat rate.
What you and all your anti-American cronies need to do is get a clue about what each barrel of oil really is used for, and why it's important to start bringing in more in our own country. The excuse of us harming the environment is ridiculous. You really think that Mexico, Cuba, Venezuala, etc, are actually using every measure to protect the environment.
Do your frickin homework, and if you aren't going to bother, then gosh, you can watch TV and learn - find it on, find a copy, whatever, but how abou checking out "Modern Marvels: Secrets of Oil", and maybe you'll actually start getting a grasp on what it's really used for, not just your assumptions. Only 50% of a barrel is used for gasoline, 15% for diesel, and the rest are by-products that are used in our every day lives. And a lot of it can be and is recycled.

What is really behind the foreclosures?
Does anyone remember when about a year ago, all of the credit providers suddenly upped significantly the required minimum payment? It was for our own good, of course. Because after all, if we made only minimum payments, then it would take forever for us to pay off debt!
Of course, if you dig back, it was the big push to stop predatory lending (the ridiculously high interest rates). The problem is, everything you do to try to curtail big money banks, they find a way to get the money from other routes - like raising the monthly payments, like raising fees on everything, you get the picture.
But what do you think happens when people who are barely able to make their minimum payments suddenly have to make DOUBLE the minimum? Something has to give. Because no one has been getting raises that keep up with inflation as it is, not to mention the skyrocketing fuel and food prices.
Suddenly people who were making the minimum payments to get by had to find other ways to pay the levels (probably by borrowing more money), and got to a point where they couldn't pay all their bills. All of this was done to "protect" consumers, because minimum payments would take forever to pay off a debt. And let's not forget - it's even harder now to file bankruptcy, so it's uncontrolled foreclosures, worsening credit woes, depression, suicide.. (and yes, at least one person has committed suicide because of foreclosure).
And suddenly everyone's wondering why people can't pay their mortgages. Inflation has gone up significantly thanks to Al Gore and his terrorism, because food is scarce, gas is scarcer, and the dems won't allow more drilling.

Alaskan Stevens
I am not speaking either way as to whether this guy should have accepted home renovations, but what I would use as my defense: if B. Hussein Obama can get his home built for pennies because he was in bed with a developer, then Stevens should be able to keep his renovations and his seat.
Of course, the corollary should be true: if Stevens is being charged, the B.O. should be as well. And he sure as hell shouldn't be allowed to run for president as someone who profited from criminal activities while representing his state.

Reed and Pelosi - a marriage made in hell
While we are suffering with high gas prices, Pelosi in all her wisdom is waxing windy on longitude:
“I have always loved longitude,” Nancy Pelosi says before breaking into laughter. “I love latitude; it’s in the stars. But longitude, it’s about time. ... Time and clocks and all the rest of that have always been a fascination for me.”
When someone is that far gone, it's time to quit. Between her and Reed, they are destroying our country, and she has no freaking clue about what is going on in reality.
They are refusing to allow a vote on a bill to open up offshore (or anwar, or shale) drilling. And they're about to fly off on their summer vacation. Nice. She who is in bed with the tuna companies has the nerve to talk about oil interests?
And isn't it wonderful, countries that are against our best interests are able to take up oil from offshore, but oh gee, we can't. We need to love longitude, that will make it all better!

Squashers of religious freedom
Lately it seems that no one is allowed to criticize any religion except for Christianity. Look at what has happened to Bridget Bardot because she was speaking out against the senseless sacrificing of sheep, she was convicted of racial hatred (a source).
I happened to stumble across a term in a book I was reading this morning, which referred to the "cultural mandate". Defined as "God's command to be fruitful and multiply, to rule and subdue the earth" source, p. 31
Not content to take the author's word for it, I went directly to the source. My NIV*KJV Parallel Bible, Genesis 1:28.
Why, that would mean that we humans are supposed to reproduce, and hold dominion over the creatures of the world. That means we can use the natural resources of the world. That humans are considered the superior race, not the animals on the planet. We are not to sacrifice humans, our health, our food, and our livelihood, to save a population of polar bears that aren't even endangered.
So you see, just the mere existence of the Bible threatens the cult of environmentalism and Al Gore! So naturally, any mention of the Bible is a danger!
In regards to polar bears:
As to whether polar bears are increasing or decreasing in numbers, I thought I found a citation of proof that polar bears are decreasing (source), but when I tried to read the "expert" opinion, it was all a bunch of double speak that first said that the claims that they are increasing are absolutely false, then says that there aren't really hard data that gives the original numbers - which should mean that you could neither prove or disprove the population increase or decrease. But that's ok, because here's an article from an area that actually has polar bears, that gives a clearer example of why they say the numbers are increasing.

KJV: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth on the earth.Do you see why anyone who embraces the cult of Al Gore cannot allow the Bible or Christianity to flourish? Both versions use the word "subdue" - which can be defined as conquer, overpower by superior force, vanquish, cultivate (source).
NIV: God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

Send a REAL message to congress (not Pilosi's imaginary messages)
FORMS ARE GOING FAST- SIGN UP TODAY!
Becoming Illegal (Actual letter from an Iowa resident and sent to his senator)
The Honorable Tom Harkin
731 Hart Senate Office Building
Phone (202) 224 3254
Washington DC, 20510
Dear Senator Harkin,
As a native Iowan and excellent customer of the Internal Revenue Service, I am writing to ask for your assistance. I have contacted the Department of Homeland Security in an effort to determine the process for becoming an illegal alien and they referred me to you.
My primary reason for wishing to change my status from U.S. Citizen to illegal alien stems from the bill which was recently passed by the Senate and for which you voted. If my understanding of this bill's provisions is accurate, as an illegal alien who has been in the United States for five years, all I need to do to become a citizen is topay a $2,000 fine and income taxes for three of the last five years. I know a good deal when I see one and I am anxious to get the process started before everyone figures it out.
Simply put, those of us who have been here legally have had to pay taxes every year so I'm excited about the prospect of avoiding two years of taxes in return for paying a $2,000 fine. Is there any way that I can apply to be illegal retroactively? This would yield an excellent result for me and my family because we paid heavy taxes in 2004and 2005.
Additionally, as an illegal alien I could begin using the local emergency room as my primary health care provider.Once I have stopped paying premiums for medical insurance, my accountant figures I could save almost $10,000 a year.
Another benefit in gaining illegal status would be that my daughter would receive preferential treatment relative to her law school applications, as well as 'in-state' tuition rates for many colleges throughout the United States for my son.
Lastly, I understand that illegal status would relieve me of the burden of renewing my driver's license and making those burdensome car insurance premiums. This is very important to me given that I still have college age children driving my car.
If you would provide me with an outline of the process to become illegal (retroactively if possible) and copies of the necessary forms, I would be most appreciative. Thank you for your assistance.

Becoming Illegal (Actual letter from an Iowa resident and sent to his senator)

Obama
There are numerous reasons for wanting to see each one of the sitting senators, who are front-runners in the presidential race, lose their seats in the senate. I wish there was a lever we could pull to spit out a different set of candidates. I know that the primaries are a joke, and that by the time the first couple of states have their say, very often the rest of us are screwed. Or you have someone like Charlie Crist, who it turns out is probably even more liberal than McCain, skewing everything the eve before the election. Why aren't we able to vote all at once, like any other primary? But I digress from what I wanted to say.
I just watched Obama talk out of both sides of his mouth, nearly at the same time. I don't know why the commentators didn't catch on to this, but essentially: he criticized McCain's wanting a gas tax holiday over 3 months. Obama says we'd only save 40 cents a day. But that there's no guarantee that the oil companies would lower their rates. Instead he says that there should be a tax cut (?? he is actually suggesting a cut? What's the catch, you know there is going to be one) of $1000 to offset gas prices, food prices, etc. He says that cutting the tax will take away so much needed money that goes towards the infrastructure (roads, bridges, whatnot).
Then in the same breath, he says that we need to go to alternative fuel sources (including bio-diesel, which is apparently just as bad for the environment, but is leading to skyrocketing food costs), and there needs to be tighter laws on ensuring cars have a higher fuel economy.
So.. giving us a tax break is going to be highly detrimental to the roads and highways (even though the government makes the highest profit of anyone on oil). But he's not talking about the fact that if everyone drove cars with really high fuel economy, or they drove cars that ran off of - I don't know, water? - that guess what? All of a sudden, everyone is paying less taxes towards the infrastructure, but is using vehicles at least as much or more than they were before!
It is so nice to be able to say whatever you want without having to actually say anything of meaning!!!
Oh, and he also claims that he is the only one who cares about the troops because he signed a bill to give GIs more college benefits than they are currently receiving (which is apparently only one year right now when they're out?). He says that Bush and McCain are against the bill. I'm not sure McCain knows heads from tails about what bills are good or bad, but since he is suddenly against anything that Bush supports, something tells me that the Dems have tried to force something else entirely into that bill, knowing that they can make the evil Republicans look bad for opposing it, even though the bill will have something else in it to punish the general public.

Nanci Pelosi - kick her out of her seat and she's no longer speaker!
She looks like she could be anyone's grandmother. She even talks like a grandmother - kind of oldish and a bit whiny. But don't be fooled by her looks, because at the core, she is spiteful, mean, and angry - judging, of course, by her actions and behavior.
This is a person who if something happens to whomever might be the President and Vice President, she gets to jump right in to the oval office and run the country to the ground. She's well on her way now to crippling us, if it's up to her we'll become the next great Socialist nation.
Here are some highlights:
1. She was part of the push to raise minimum wage for the U.S., so that everyone has a living wage! Everyone, that is, except for those living in American Samoa. Oh, she tries to say she has no special interests there, but given the tuna industry in her backyard, given that they use the Samoans for the labor, and that she actually went before the House Education & Labor Committee so that they could review the American Samoa situation. source
2. She kept pushing bills that would "send a message", even though President Bush made it clear that he would veto specific agendas ahead of time. How much of our hard earned money did she waste on her "message". And I would love to know how she was speaking for me! Too many examples to go through them all..
3. She went against the state department on a mission to Syria, where she misrepresented Israel. How wonderful and all-knowing is she!! source
4. She praises the Goodwill of Iran one of many sources. I can't even begin to comprehend this nonsense. The latest bit of garbage I noticed about Iran had to do with the death sentence for anyone who has the nerve to convert to another religion (and is convicted, but that will happen anytime they go after someone).
There are so many examples of not just ineptitude, not just corruption, but her flat out hatred for our country and the people she is supposed to be representing.
You - the people who keep electing her - have the power to stop this! Everyone has to look beyond their immediate local/state interest, and recognize that there is an inherit need of electing someone who can represent everyone. Yes, they are hopefully going to think of their own state's needs, but if they are grabbing at power, if they are corrupting the country, if they are going to destroy us all, they are not in anyone's best interest!
There are many more sources than just the ones I list - please, feel free to research everything yourself. Unlike Pelosi, I WANT people to educate themselves, so that they can make an informed decision FOR THEMSELVES!

Fire the Global Warming Terrorists
This is a very succinct definition of Terrorism:
Seriously, why are people falling into this trap? Why are we handing out awards to fiction? Why are we allowing Gore and others like him to cripple our economy?
There are a multitude of sources for the truth about Global Warming. The ones that aren't being funded by the very organizations that profit off of Global Warming Terrorism.
If you want to hear the truth about Global Warming, I'd suggest starting with reading Michael Crichton's State of Fear. Or going to his website and looking at some of what he's written, but really, there are so many credible sources out there that aren't being funded by organizations that have a vested interest in the terroristic tactics of the Global Warming pundits.

That sure sounds like the Global Warming fearmongering tactics! Praise be to Al Gore! The systematic use of terror, the deliberate creation and exploitation of fear for bringing about political change.

Everyone who participated in the fillibuster to block drilling in ANWR: Senate Blocks Arctic Drilling Provision
Frist can be forgiven in this case for the reasons behind it. But what about the 42 others? Can them.
That was 3 years ago. Think about how much closer we'd be now if they hadn't listened to environmentalists without thinking about the impact on people.
Voting to block the bill were 40 Democrats, one independent and three Republicans -- Lincoln Chafee of Rhode Island, Mike DeWine of Ohio and Bill Frist of Tennessee. Frist, the Senate majority leader, had supported passage, but once the voting numbers became clear, he cast a "no" vote for procedural reasons so that he could bring up the drilling issue for another vote.
Frist can be forgiven in this case for the reasons behind it. But what about the 42 others? Can them.
But opponents say oil drilling is incompatible with environmental protection in the refuge. Moreover, they say, the impact on the U.S. fuel supply would be minimal and would not be seen for years.
